OCULUS Optikgeräte GmbH at the 6th CXL Meeting Milano/Italy
The 6th CXL meeting was successfully held in the Hotel Westin in Milano. More than 300 doctors from over 50 countries visited this meeting. The well attended lectures reflected the growing acceptance of CXL treatments for patient having Keratoconus or Ectasia.
Almost every lecture showed the use of the elaborated Pentacam® software and its special use in detecting early and advanced Ectasia as well as displaying nicely the corneal progression after CXL treatments.
OCULUS, this years Gold sponsor, exhibited the Pentacam® HR – "The Gold standard in anterior segment tomography", the Keratograph 4 with automated tear film analysis and the C-Quant. The perfect organized meeting allowed plenty of time for interesting conversations with the attending doctors.
The course "Scheimpflug technique for corneal biomechanics and anterior segment Tomography" was very well visited by more than 200 doctors. Dr. Paolo Vinciguerra, Dr. Elena Albe and Dr. Renato Ambrosio explained the use of the Pentacam® in the clinical routine for pre- and post corneal assessment in the use of CXL. Moreover the brand new Corvis® ST a combined non-contact tonometer and high speed Scheimpflug camera from OCULUS was introduced by the speakers. The Corvis® ST captures more than 4000 images per second in order to display the corneal movement after the air puff to assess corneal biomechanics. This new technique may open new doors in corneal biomechanic assessment.
We thank all participants for their great support and look forward to welcome you on the next occasion to show you our interesting range of products.
